Me at COSI in June of 2005 Hello there, I am Mr. Rick Black. I am the 8th Grade Math Teacher here at Enslow Middle School, in Huntington, WV. I take pride in my job and always strive to get the best out of my students. Sometimes I am successful, sometimes I am not, but I always give it my best shot. Outside of school, I enjoy reading books, listening to music, and playing bass and guitar, be it with friends or in a band setting. I am also a self-confessed blogging addict. I blog quite often so I decided to use this addiction to help keep a better running record of activities in my classes by using a blog. I also plan to slowly implement blogging into my classes as a required activity for my students. It will be a slow process, but over time, I am sure it will work out. I have recently started back to school (see kids school is never out for the teachers either), working on my Master of Arts degree in Secondary Education, with an emphasis on Educational Computing.  I am currently about a third of the way completed and hope to be finished up in about another year and a half or so.  Remember, if you have any questions you can email me at rdblack@access.k12.wv.us and I will be glad to help you out. Make sure you check out the links on my page for fun math activities online. I wish you all the best.
